Building a diverse church
serving the communities of London

New, fourth site in Beckenham

We're excited to be launching a fourth site of King's in October this year. It will be south of our existing three sites in Beckenham, meeting on Sundays at Harris Academy, and will be led by Charles Kimbangi, currently a pastor at the Catford site. We believe this is another significant moment as we seek to fulfil our God-given vision of a church with 5,000 attending over multiple sites, serving and reaching the communities of London.

"Over the last few years we’ve been increasingly gathering people from the south. There are loads of people to serve and reach and we’re looking forward to playing our part in extending the kingdom in this area. Charles is a gifted leader and communicator and he and Amy are a fantastic couple."

Steve Tibbert | Senior Pastor

"We are really excited about launching this fourth site of King’s. We really believe that the good news of Jesus Christ saves people and transforms their lives both now and for eternity. Our vision is to gather a united and diverse community of people, who have a passion to go on mission, to serve and reach many people in this new area with this good news."

Charles Kimbangi | Fourth Site Leader

The right venue and the right people

The new site will meet at Harris Academy Beckenham, a new school with excellent facilities such as a new, modern meeting hall (seating approximately 180 people), contemporary classrooms for children's and youth work, as well as a large car park. With the school also being in a great location, we believe that the venue will provide a brilliant base from which we can impact the community with the life-changing and life-giving message of hope through the gospel.

We are hoping for 100-140 people to join Charles and Amy in launching this site, made up of mainly people living in Beckenham, West Wickham, Croydon and the surrounding area. Please get in touch for more information or if you are interested.

Launching in October

The fourth site will officially launch on Sunday 7th October and will start with one meeting at 10.30am on Sundays.

Before that we are running the following events:

Beckenham Site Picnic

On Sunday 2nd September there is a Beckenham site picnic at Kelsey Park (BR3 3LS) from 2-5pm, meeting at the children’s playground, which is easily accessed via Wickham Way. Bring your own food and drink. This will be a good opportunity to have fun and build friendships.

Beckenham Promo Week (17–22 September)

Join us as we promote the new site and invite people to come along. We’ll be posting invitations through letterboxes and giving out flyers at train stations; advertising will be going out on buses, at train stations and bus stops; and the week will culminate on Saturday 22nd with people on Beckenham High Street giving out invitations and engaging with the local community. Our aim is to give out over 10,000 invitations during the week! Everyone is invited to play their part, whether you’re coming to be part of the new site or not. • Pray that the site will quickly establish good relationships with Harris Academy and the local community.
  • Pray that we would see many people from diverse backgrounds come to faith in Jesus and have their lives transformed.
