We want everyone that comes to King’s to find a circle of real friendship, and with dozens of groups to choose from, there is something for everybody. A group is a great place to make friends, grow in faith and connect with the life of the church. Find out more on our Groups page
If you are new to Christianity or want to find out more, Alpha is the perfect place for you. Alpha explores life and the Christian faith in a relaxed, informal setting. No questions are too big or too small. It's also a great context to make friends. Find out more on our Alpha page
As a church we have seen consistent growth over many years. We’ve always wanted to create space for new people and so in 2010 – after extending the Catford auditorium, starting a second and then a third Sunday meeting – we bought the Lee building, a building that is 3.5 times the size of the Catford building. At the same time, the Newfrontiers church in Downham also approached us to become a site of King’s. And so in March 2011, we became a multi-site church, going on to launch a fourth site in Beckenham in October 2018.
Although we meet across four sites on Sundays, we are still one church - we have one name, one eldership, one staff team, one vision, one mission, one philosophy, one teaching programme, one membership, one website, one budget and one legal identity.
In years to come we hope to launch additional sites – further steps towards us fulfilling our God-given vision of being a church of 5,000. Read more about our history
King's is a Christian Church that is part of Newfrontiers , an international family of churches together on a mission (currently approaching 300 churches in the UK and probably 1,000 worldwide). We are a member of the Evangelical Alliance .
With a passionate commitment to build the church according to New Testament principles, we believe that the most effective form of evangelism is worked out through strong local churches where each member participates, where the gifts of the Spirit are encouraged, where people care for one another and where there is a desire to make a difference in society and to reach those in need. We aim to achieve this by restoring the church, making disciples, training leaders, planting churches and reaching the nations for Christ.
