Global, USA and Mexico
After delivering the exciting news that Joe Macnamara will become Lead Pastor of King’s from September 25, Deb and I have spent much of the last six weeks out of the UK.
In October we hosted the Newfrontiers Global conference. This is an annual highlight for us, a key opportunity to gather the Apostolic Fellowship from around the world. I’m glad to report that it went very well, and if you missed it, you can read Joe Macnamara’s report on the conference here.
We had only been back for ten days when we were off again, this time to the USA and Mexico. On this trip we had the privilege of seeing all that God is doing in three parts of North America. We started in North Carolina with Donnie and Jill Griggs from One Harbour Church in Morehead, then flew to Houston to be with Bryan and Rachel Barr at One life Church, Houston, Texas, and finished in Los Angeles with Alan and Rynelle Frow at Southlands Church. These are all fast-growing communities, led by key couples within the Advance family of churches. I preached at each church, and Deb and I also spent time with their teams. We then left the USA and flew to Mexico to join the leadership team of Confluence family of churches, which is led by Bryan Mowrey. Bryan and his wife Rachel have been long term friends and partners in the Gospel, and it was a joy to spend time with them and their team.
We returned on Saturday morning to a very autumnal London, which was quite a contrast to Mexico. It’s always good to be home though, and we are looking forward to being around for the next few months before travel starts again in the New Year. In January I will be in Poland with Andrey Bondarenko and his apostolic team. Then in February Deb will be joining me on a trip to Singapore and Thailand, where we will be connecting with some new contacts who are considering relationship with Newfrontiers.
Life is certainly full but fulfilling. We value your prayers as we serve the Newfrontiers Apostolic Fellowship.
