Prayer and Planning with Purpose

Taking time out to pray, reflect and plan together has always proved invaluable to us as a team. Once a year, the senior leadership team at King’s spends a few days at the Braithwaite’s house in France to focus on what God is saying to us as a church. In fact, it was while we were in France this time last year that the original thinking for the Better Together initiative took place.  The overwhelmingly positive response to the new groups has been one of the highlights of the church year - group life at King’s is now healthier than ever before.

This week we have returned to France to enjoy the Braithwaite’s hospitality and spend a few days praying and planning with purpose. Yesterday we prayed again into the major prophetic words over us as a church, sensing a tangible rise in faith towards the vision God has set before us.  This was followed by discussions around subjects such as the next phase of our building development, preaching programmes and worship; these are just a few examples of how we spend our time together.  We also enjoy good food and much laughter!

I am looking forward to being at King’s again this Sunday before Deb and I visit Zimbabwe and South Africa at the end of next week.  I look forward to seeing you this coming weekend.
