TLG, Travelling Again and New Summer Teaching Series

I so enjoyed being at King’s on Sunday and hearing Tim Morfin speak about the vision of the children’s charity Transforming Lives for Good (TLG). There was a remarkable response from the church, and around 100 people expressed an interest in getting involved with the initiative. There will be a follow-up meeting on May 8th at 7.45pm at the Lee site for everyone who’d like to know more about what’s involved in becoming a coach for TLG.

Deb and I would greatly value your prayers as we juggle a very busy season of travel in our Newfrontiers role with ongoing responsibilities at home. On Sunday, while Andrew Wilson opens our summer teaching series on 1 Samuel, we will be travelling to the USA to attend the Advance Global conference in Houston. We’ll be back in the UK for the following two weekends, but then travel to Tbilisi in Georgia to meet with a group of church leaders from around that region. In the middle of all that, our eldest son Ben and his wife Alice are expecting their second baby in the next few weeks, which we are of course very excited about!

As we start this summer term, I’d like to encourage you to make every effort to be there on Sundays in order to get the most from our 1 Samuel series. Over the course of 12 weeks, we will have time and opportunity to look in-depth at some well-known parts of the Old Testament. As well as coming on Sundays, we’d love you to join a group if you have not already done so. Groups are a great place to make friends, grow in faith and connect with the life of the church. Some of our groups will be following the 1 Samuel series, but we also have many other types of group available. Everything you need to know can be found here.
