King's Picnic 2022 is Going Ahead!

What amazing weather we’re having! In fact, earlier this week we’d been wondering if we might have to call the King’s picnic off because of the heat. But I am glad to say the forecast has changed, it is not expected to be as hot as they’d thought, and the picnic is going ahead!

This has always been one of the year’s highlights at King’s, a chance to gather as one church and catch up with friends from other sites. This year it will run from 1pm to 4pm, rather than 5pm as originally planned, so that we can avoid the higher temperatures of late afternoon. There is some shade available at Ladywell Arena and we will also be providing extra gazebos. Here’s a quick reminder of what else you need to know:

Date: 17th July 2022

Time: 1–4pm

Venue: Ladywell Arena, SE6 4QX

Parking: You can park in the surrounding streets (parking restrictions don’t apply on Sundays)

Lunch: Bring your own picnic and something to sit on, or bring money to buy food from the BBQ/other vendors.

We’d love you to come along and stay for as little or as long as you’d like. It will be warm and sunny, so don't forget your suncream, sunhat and water bottle. I shall look forward to seeing you there.
