Celebrating Twenty Years
‘For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
His faithfulness continues through all generations.’

Well, celebrating our 20 years at King’s Church last Sunday proved to be quite a day to remember! As Deb and I travelled around during the morning to all five services across our three sites, and then celebrated with the whole church after our sixth service in the evening, it was impossible not to be struck by the remarkable change we have witnessed at King’s. In 1995 we joined a group of 200 faithful people, who had experienced one setback after another, in a rundown church building; today, King’s is a diverse church of some 1,400 people on a Sunday, meeting across three sites in six different services. More than anything the day was about taking a moment to look back and thank God for all that He has done, for His faithfulness to King's through the generations. We certainly felt that we had much to be thankful for!
We would like to express our deep thanks to everyone at King’s who helped to make the day so memorable and for the kind and generous gifts with which we were presented – thank you. We were particularly grateful for the hundreds of cards with personal messages, presented to us in a box to keep – we are still enjoying reading through each of them. King’s would not be the church it is today if it wasn’t for the hard work of so many people, many of them unseen. This is very much a body ministry! I would like to express my personal thanks to each of you, whether you have been with us for the whole journey, part of it, or joined us relatively recently. Together, we can do great things to see the Kingdom of God expressed through His church. Let us continue to serve Him in our generation.
