Kids At Home

At King's we really value our children and their spiritual growth. As we can't be meet in person on Sundays, we wanted to provide you with some resources to help your child learn about Jesus and how great He is! We would encourage you to do these activities together as a family on Sundays before or after the online service. We hope you enjoy them – they are supposed to be enjoyable, so please don’t pressure yourself. Do what you can and have fun.

For all parents/carers of 0-9s

Hi! We hope you enjoyed last week’s story of the wise man who built his house on the rock.

We have heard some stories from a few families who this week have been making a conscious effort to invest time in building on the rock. One family fed back that they have all decided to all spend the first 10-15 minutes when they wake up spending time quietly with God. Another idea shared was at breakfast they all listen to worship songs and go over the memory verse together. Did you manage to talk about how you are going to begin building your life on the rock?

Please do share with us things you are trying so that we can share with others and encourage one another.

This week we are looking at the story of Mary and Martha and will be encouraging you and the children to find a special place to stop and listen to Jesus. It’s great for our children to experience spending time with God, for them to know that reading His word and worshipping Him really are brilliant ways to develop and deepen our friendship with Him. Have fun this week and we look forward to hearing about and seeing your pictures of your special places this week.

For all parents/carers of 0-9s

Hi and welcome to any new parents who are joining this week. We hope you find the content we're providing helpful.

Thanks so much if you have given feedback on how you are finding the new Kids at Home curriculum. It's been lovely hearing so many positive comments about how you and your children are engaging with Jesus together.

This week we are looking at the story of the wise man who builds on the rock.  We really want to encourage you to watch the videos and participate in some of the activities.  Perhaps you can listen to the songs we send, practise the memory verse and look at the Bible story together.

Look out this week to see if you can spot any of your child's artwork which will be shown before the kids' video on Sunday in the 'Kids at Home Gallery'! We would love to put some of your child's art and craft in the 'Kids at Home Gallery'. Please do send them to sarah.varley@kingschurchlondon.org.

We are loving being able to provide this resource for use in our homes. Please feel free to pass on Kids at Home to friends and family as well as letting us know any ideas of ways we could improve what we are doing.

For all parents/carers of 0-9s

Hi! We hope you had a lovely Easter Bank holiday weekend and enjoyed listening to our excellent storytellers Vusi in 0-4s and Rhys in King's Kids. We have a very talented kids team!

We are loving seeing pictures of your craft. Please do keep sending them in. Please don’t send pictures of the children’s faces though; the backs of their heads is fine! We hope to show your photos on our weekly videos and on the King’s Instagram account midweek. Please send all your craft photos to sarah.varley@kingschurchlondon.org. If you are happy to, please include your child’s first name and we will add that next to their picture.

We love getting your feedback so please do share how you are finding the activities we send out.

Dear parents/carers

We hope you enjoyed last week's Kids at Home material. Thank you to so many of you who gave feedback and shared photos of the craft you had done at home. We love to see all that you have been up to and would love you to stay in touch and send pictures of the craft you complete to sarah.varley@kingschurchlondon.org and we will show some of them on the King’s Instagram account.

This week is Easter Sunday, a great time to celebrate and share the gospel story with the children in our homes. We hope what we have provided this week will help assist you in sharing the good news of Jesus with your children.
