In-person Services

Unfortunately we are now unable to meet in person because of the recently announced lockdown. We’ll continue to review the situation and will update this page when have clarity on when in-person services will resume. We encourage you to join us online on Sundays and to be part of a group if you’re not already part of one. If you are experiencing any difficulty during this season and need help or would like prayer, please send in a prayer request.

Please read our Essential Information before you sign up to attend any of our in-person services.

FAQs

No, only those who have pre-registered their places can come. If you are booking for your family. You will need to book a ticket for everyone attending.

Please do not attend if you currently have (or think you have) any symptoms of Coronavirus, if you are self-isolating or living with someone who is self-isolating and/or is vulnerable.

If you have already booked a space please send us an email with your name and site.

There will be a family service running every other week at each in-person location with limited spaces, but there is not children’s ministry for the adult meetings. Children are welcome at any of our morning meetings; however, parents/guardians must be responsible for supervising them at all times and ensure they are able to follow hygiene and social distancing precautions.

People aged 70 or older, regardless of medical conditions, and those with underlying health conditions are still regarded as being at increased risk of severe disease from COVID-19 and continue to be advised to stay at home as much as possible. If you do choose to attend, you should minimise any contact with others outside of your household.

We are required to take the names and contact details of everyone who attends an in-person gathering and keep this information to enable contact tracing by the NHS if necessary. Your personal data will be kept securely and destroyed after 21 days.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the meeting, you will then need to check in as you enter the building and have your temperature taken.

Guidelines do not presently allow us to sing together, however we can worship! We can raise our hands, speak out words to God, kneel, clap and celebrate. It's an opportunity for us to be creative and express our hearts in different ways.

Absolutely! You are so welcome. We'd love to help you get connected into King's when you arrive. Please indicate when booking that you are new to the church.

We're asking you to help us, and will do our best to help you to, please see our Essential Information page for more details.

Seats will be initially allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and we'll assess capacity in the weeks to come.

We're in dialogue with the Harris Academy Facilities Team and hope to have news on reopening there in the coming weeks.

In line with Coronavirus guidelines, we are required to register everyone who attends one of our services, whether they are attending a service or serving. When registering, please select a serving ticket. This will enable us to clearly identify the numbers that will be attending the service. Thank you for serving King's – we would not be able to run our in-person services without wonderful volunteers like yourselves!

You can send us an email. We will do our best to help and may even include the question here for others!

Family Services

We are aware how difficult it has been over this season to engage children in the online services, and hopefully the Kids at Home content that has been provided by the children’s teams has gone some way to helping children engage with church and God. However, however we are hoping that Family Services in our buildings will now be a great development in this next season.

The Family Services are a brilliant opportunity for families across our four sites to do just that, and to be together in the Catford, Downham and Lee buildings. Have a look at this video in which Andy Floyd, one of our Pastors, explains what the service will be like.

The services are 45 minutes in length (please check each site for start times), and are made up of several components, meaning they are fast-paced, engaging and fun, as well as providing an opportunity to learn about Jesus. The services include worship, games, videos, stories, memory verses, prayer and crafts, and each family have their own brightly coloured mat to sit on and craft box to use.

A big part of what we want to achieve is to help you, as a family, learn how to engage with Jesus together, and enjoy moments when you learn together and have fun.

Safety is of utmost importance and all the government guidelines are being adhered to. There is handwashing, temperature taking and a register on entry, and we require you to maintain social distancing of 2 metres throughout. We also ask all parents to wear masks for the duration unless you are exempt.

There is a limit to the number of families that we can safely have in the buildings, therefore you will need to register in advance. The Family Services take place fortnightly and you can register for the next one via this page.

It would be great to see you at one of our Family Services soon.
