Easter at King's

Well, I guess it was only a matter of time. After two years, Covid finally caught up with me and Deb, putting us both out of action for a couple of weeks last month. It hit us harder than we expected and coincided with a busier than normal season, which is why this is the first blog from me for a while. I am glad to say that we are now fully recovered and looking forward to celebrating Easter at King’s this weekend. After the restrictions of the previous two years, it’s great to be able to run a full programme of Easter services once again.

Tomorrow evening, Thursday 14th April, we will be holding a remembrance service at 7.30pm on the Catford site, when we will come together to remember and give thanks for all those who have lost their lives in the last two years. More details about the service can be found here.

On Good Friday, 15th April, we will gather at 10.30am at Catford, Downham and Lee, to reflect on Jesus’ death and break bread together. There will be no service at our Beckenham site, but please do join us at any of our other sites. The service will be about an hour long, though please note there will be no children’s work.

Then on Easter Sunday, 17th April, we celebrate the risen Jesus Christ! Services will take place at the usual times on all sites, and there will also be an online service available. This is always a highlight of the Christian calendar and a great opportunity to invite your friends and family. And if you have been a part of King’s for some time but have not yet made it back to an in-person service, why not come along this Easter Sunday to celebrate with God’s family! I will be preaching at our Catford and Lee sites and I look forward to seeing you there.

Full details of everything that’s happening at King’s over Easter can be found here.
