Building a diverse church
serving the communities of London

8th February 2015

…because God loves us

‘Since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.’ 1 John 4:11 (NIV)

Community is all about looking to God’s Word so we can discover what it means to love God. By doing this, we will learn how to love one another, how to build up other Christians, and how to help non-believers find Christ.

So take a few minutes to consider God’s love in your life. What does the Bible say about God’s love for you? Then go further – get personal. How have you seen God’s love in action in your life? The more you are aware of God’s love for you, the better you’ll be able to love others.

‘...he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.’ Titus 3:5,7

Question to consider
Have you signed up for a group yet? If not, what is hindering you?

Prayer Point
Pray that as groups meet during the week, everyone who signed up will make it a priority to attend their group so as a church we will grow in love for one another.

These devotionals include edited extracts from the Better Together book by Rick Warren, with additional prayer points for King’s Church London. We are extremely grateful to Purpose Driven UK for permission to use the extracts.
