Transformed - Week Four

Welcome to these brief Transformed devotionals. For the full devotional and group study guide, please buy a Transformed Workbook, available online for £7 (see for the link).

The aim of this compilation of daily verses and prayer points is to provide a link between the Sunday preaching series, group life and our personal walk with God. They will be available weekly each Sunday in the news sheet, on Steve’s blog ( and on the free King’s mobile app (

There are some suggestions for prayer for the week and each day there is a Bible verse for meditation and further study. As you read, you may want to keep a simple journal of God’s word to you. A helpful way of doing this may be to consider the following points each time:

• What did you hear?
• What do you think?
• What will you do?
• Now talk to God…

• Thank God that He wants to renew our minds and will do so as we spend time with Him.
• Ask Him to replace old lies with His truths.
• Pray that as a church we will make it a priority to seek God’s presence and peace in all that we do.

DAY 22 – Sunday 21st February
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV)

DAY 23 – Monday 22nd February
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27 (NIV)

DAY 24 – Tuesday 23rd February
The Lord is my shepherd... Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:1,4 (NIV)

DAY 25 – Wednesday 24th February
The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. Deuteronomy 33:27 (NIV)

DAY 26 – Thursday 25th February
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1 (NIV)

DAY 27 – Friday 26th February
The joy of the Lord is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10 (NIV)

DAY 28 – Saturday 27th February
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:1-12 (NIV)
