The Marriage Course

It has been a very encouraging month at King’s. Easter weekend was remarkable, with more people attending our sites than ever before, and I am excited to hear that this was a story replicated across many UK churches in the Newfrontiers family. In fact, I have noticed a number of national newspapers running articles about an increasing interest in faith and rising church attendance, particularly among young people. God is clearly on the move.

Last Saturday, Deb and I enjoyed speaking at the God, Sex and Marriage Seminar, held at the Catford site. It was wonderful to have more than 60 couples join us for the morning. We had read widely in preparation and put a lot of thought into the content, so it was very encouraging to read the feedback forms and hear how helpful couples had found the morning. We plan to run the event again next year, on Saturday 13 June 2026, so if you missed it or would like to do it again, please make a note in your calendars. But in the meantime, if you are married, I encourage you to sign up for The Marriage Course, which starts 15 May and runs on Thursday evenings at the Catford site for seven weeks. This is an outstanding marriage enrichment course covering topics such as communication, handling conflict, forgiveness and love languages. I highly recommend it.

The month of April ended with a fantastic Sunday last month, when we baptised 20 people. Hearing testimonies of how God had met so many in some of their darkest moments was deeply moving. Yet more evidence that God is on the move and continues his work of transforming lives.
