Giving Review 2024
This coming Sunday we will be launching our Annual Giving Review. This year, as well as reviewing what you give to the church, we are also asking you to bring an additional gift in October 2024 and in May 2025. This is to help raise an additional £100,000 on each of these gift days. We are therefore asking you to prayerfully consider doing these TWO things:
1. REVIEW YOUR GIVING
In September, be one of 500 people to increase their giving by £20 per month, helping us reach our faith target of £2.5 million in Sep 24–Aug 25.
2. ADDITIONAL GIFT TO VISION 2030
Bring a one-off gift over and above your usual giving to each of our gift days and play your part in helping us reach our target of an additional £100,000 in October 2024 and an another £100,000 in May 2025. This would be a total of £200,000 across these two gift days.
Please take a moment to watch this video, which we will be showing on Sunday, where I talk more about this year’s Giving Review.
King’s has always been a remarkably generous church, and we are very grateful for that. It’s this consistent generosity that enables us to keep doing all that God has called us to do.

William and Hilary’s Farewell
It was great to see so many of you at the Catford site last Sunday, as we said goodbye to William and Hilary Dalziel, who are retiring. There was some wonderfully uplifting worship from the gospel choir, and Hilary preached an inspiring message on the Church, which I encourage you to listen to if you missed it. It was also great to see some former staff members there, such as Brett Melville (who was our Comms Director and now works for New Ground), and Mick and Val Taylor. Many of you will remember that Mick was our Teaching Pastor for many years. It was a wonderful day, albeit one of mixed emotions. William and Hilary have played a huge part at King’s. They will be greatly missed, but we are also excited for them as they enter this next chapter. As I looked around the room on Sunday, I was struck again by just how many amazing people have chosen to make King’s their home, and it fills me with confidence for this next season. King’s is a remarkable church, and experience has shown me that whenever key leaders move on (as Brett and Mick once did), though we rightly feel a sense of loss, God graciously helps us fill the gaps.
