Trip to USA
Having been in the UK across the summer, Deb and I are now in the middle of a busy period of travel. On Sunday we returned from an excellent Global conference in Cyprus, feeling greatly encouraged. It was wonderful to have a couple of other leaders from King’s with us this year, and in a guest blog next week Joe Macnamara will be giving you his reflections and impressions of Global as a first time attendee.
We have had to do a pretty fast turnaround this week as we fly to the States on Friday, where we will be visiting three significant churches within the Advance movement. We start our trip at One Harbour Church in North Carolina, led by Donnie Griggs. From there we fly on to Los Angeles, where we will be spending some time at Southlands Church led by Alan Frow, before finishing up in Houston, Texas at OneLife Church, led by Brian Barr. I’ll be preaching each Sunday as well as doing some leadership teaching. It is a busy schedule and we would greatly value your prayers as we travel.
Finally, I am pleased to report that we’ve made a really good start on the Vision 2030 offering and are now just over half way towards our target of £100K. Thank you to everyone who has given so far, and for those of you who have not yet done so, can I ask you all to prayerfully consider how you can play your part as we endeavour to fulfil our vision to reach, restore and resource.
