Transformed - Week Three

Welcome to these brief Transformed devotionals. For the full devotional and group study guide, please buy a Transformed Workbook, available online for £7 (see kingschurchlondon.org/transformed for the link).

The aim of this compilation of daily verses and prayer points is to provide a link between the Sunday preaching series, group life and our personal walk with God. They will be available weekly each Sunday in the news sheet, on Steve’s blog (kingschurchlondon.org/blog) and on the free King’s mobile app (kingschurchlondon.org/app).

There are some suggestions for prayer for the week and each day there is a Bible verse for meditation and further study. As you read, you may want to keep a simple journal of God’s word to you. A helpful way of doing this may be to consider the following points each time:

• What did you hear?
• What do you think?
• What will you do?
• Now talk to God…

WEEK 3
TRANSFORMED IN MY MENTAL HEALTH

This Week...Talk To God – POINTS FOR PRAYER
• Thank God for His faithfulness and that He has never left your side and will always go with you.
• Pray for any anxious thoughts and ask God to give you His peace.
• Pray for ways that help you fix your thoughts on God and to see the various aspects of life from His perspective.
• Pray for those you know struggling with mental health issues – that they will find peace, acceptance and help in their time of need.

DAY 15 – Sunday 14th February
You will keep in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)

DAY 16 – Monday 15th February
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

Day 17 – Tuesday 16th February
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9 (NIV)

Day 18 – Wednesday 17th February
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 (NIV)

Day 19 – Thursday 18th February
We have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16 (NIV)

Day 20 – Friday 19th February
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:5 (NIV)

Day 21 – Saturday 20th February
Those who get wisdom do themselves a favour, and those who love learning will succeed. Proverbs 19:8 (NCV)
