Transformed - Week Two

Welcome to these brief Transformed devotionals. For the full devotional and group study guide please buy a Transformed Workbook, available at the Welcome Desk (last opportunity this week) or online for £7.

The aim of this compilation of daily verses and prayer points is to provide a link between the Sunday preaching series, group life and our personal walk with God. These are available weekly each Sunday in the news sheet, on the blog and on the free King's mobile app.

There are some suggestions for prayer for the week and each day there is a Bible verse for meditation and further study.

As you read, you may want to keep a simple journal of God’s word to you. A helpful way of doing this may be to consider the following points each time:

• What did you hear?
• What do you think?
• What will you do?
• Now talk to God…

WEEK 2
TRANSFORMED IN MY PHYSICAL HEALTH

THIS WEEK...TALK TO GOD – POINTS FOR PRAYER!
• Give thanks for the body God has given to you – you were made in His image.
• Pray for wisdom in knowing how best to make healthy choices and to look after the body God has given you.
• Ask God for strength to follow through on any targets you have set.
• Pray for those you know who are sick, that they will know comfort and healing.

DAY 8 – 7th February
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your bodies. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NIV)

DAY 9 – 8th February
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)

DAY 10 – 9th February
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40: 29-31 (NIV)

DAY 11 – 10th February
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)

DAY 12 – 11th February
God has not give us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)

DAY 13 – 12th February
Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Proverbs 3:7-8 (NIV)

DAY 14 – 13th February
I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6 (ESV)
